Confused Confused Confused

Seems like a lot of effort when you know that people are walking away after looking at it and just shaking their heads and asking "Why?"

Has anyone thought to try to build a trailer out of ice cubes? Thinking

how unusual, I'm at a loss for anything to say... well, anything good to say.

oh, I thought of something.... it was a family project.... that's about it.

or, they could have put the time and money and effort in to buidling a trailer the family could really go camping in.. more than once. that tape is full sun would be good for about 2 weeks.

I think that's pretty cool for the kids. I know some that would love that thing. To them it would not only be a camper, but a fort, a cave and probably a lot of other things only kids can come with. It would also be a great learning experience, and a funny story to tell for the rest of their lives.

If I did that, I'd roll over in the night and get my hair stuck on the tape.Very Happy

I do have a vague memory from childhood of waking up in the middle of the night with Mom and Dad over me cutting gum out of my hair. Embarassed

If you watch the video of them wrapping around the sides, and close your eyes... you'd swear they are farting up a storm!

The PVC frame has some potential as a frame for a soft-side camper, but the duct-tape covering is, quite possibly, the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Thinking

Six months from now, that camper will be a torn, tattered and disintegrating pile of trash. Why not make it out of chocolate? That, at least, would be interesting -- and people wouldn't wonder if you are stupid enough to think it will last. Plus, you could invite a bunch of people over to eat the thing when it's done.

Just when you think you've seen the stupidest thing ever, someone trumps it.

As far as the pvc frame for a soft sided... I don't think, IMO, pvc is rigid enough. think what it gets like when it warms up in the sun.

Aluminum would be a better long term solution.

You might be a red neck if...

I hate to discourage people from trying new things, but a duct-tape camper should not have gotten past the "thinking about it" stage.

I never saw it myself, but my best friend Susan's little (33 yr old) brother had a friend who fixed something on the dash of his old, old junky car ... using duct tape....

then someother crack on the dash got covered with duct tape....
then something else needed a fix, so more duct tape...

she said it then ended up having the whole dash and I think a seat and/or something else completely covered in duct tape. I seem to think the duct tape starting growing to the exterior, but I don't know that the heat and moisture would be good for it.

So maybe when my teardrop starts to fall apart, I could just start covering it with ......
